JULY IS DRIVER SAFETY MONTH

AT FARRELL BACKLUND!

July is Driver Safety Month at Farrell Backlund! Stop by on Thursday, July 8th from 4-8 PM for our Driver Safety Open House. There will be food, fun and friends. Make sure to bring the kids!

We are sponsoring two different hands-on training opportunities for your child. We are hosting Arbella’s Distractology 101 trailer as well as offering a discounted rate on the popular In Control Advanced Driver Training seminar for newly licensed drivers. Both of these training courses are designed around improving your teen’s reaction to real life road situations and the dangers of distracted driving.

Distractology 101 is a traveling trailer that houses driving simulators to show teens how easily a distraction such as texting can cause an accident. The simulator course is 45 minutes long and is FREE to newly licensed drivers. It will be in the area from June 28th to July 10th. All participants will receive a $15 gas card just for taking the course.

We are sponsoring two private In Control Crash Prevention Training classes on June 26th and July 14th at South Weymouth Naval Air Station. The regular price for this course is $299, but we think this class is so valuable to new and inexperienced drivers we are sponsoring $200 toward each student’s admission. Each student will pay only $99 for the class!

In Control is a 4.5 hour course designed to not only teach participants the appropriate way to respond to unavoidable, real-life road situations, but to also instill lifelong attitudes that make safer drivers. This all takes place in a safe and controlled environment.

Five Star Agency Designation

The MAIA’s (Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents) Five Star Agency Designation program is intended to analyze the background of insurance agencies and continually challenge those agencies to improve relations with clients, company partners, and employees in order to operate in a more effective manner. The program offers guidance by identifying both strengths and areas of improvement while offering ways for management to address these issues and remedy them. By setting external standards and reviewing an agency’s operations, management truly can strive to provide service of the highest quality.

In order to obtain such a designation, Farrell Backlund Insurance Agency, LLC underwent a thorough internal review by an outside team who conducted personal employee interviews in which strengths and areas of improvement were recorded. In meeting the strict criteria and by achieving a high score, our agency is proud to have been awarded the Five Star Designation and will undergo this review process every three years.

The future of Five Star is very promising, as the program is planning to expand to the national level. We are very pleased to have earned this designation. Even more importantly, we are thrilled that this process has pulled our staff and management even closer together so that we can serve our customers with the greatest efficiency and quality possible.

NECA Program

The New England Comp Advisors (NECA) program is a joint venture between two of Massachusetts’ premier insurance agencies: L.V. Toole Insurance Agency, Inc. and Farrell Backlund Insurance Agency, LLC. Numerous errors in the workers’ comp system cause employers to pay thousands of dollars more each year for workers’ compensation insurance. Frequently mismanaged claims can cause productivity and employee moral to suffer and may even result in lawsuits.

The NECA program has developed the proper techniques and created practical processes for employers to form a safer and more productive work environment and lower their workers’ compensation costs. Certified by the Institute of WorkComp Professionals, our agents continually expand their knowledge in workplace safety and form strategic partnerships with the nation’s leading experts in injury management. Our History

Through the years, the Farrell Backlund Insurance Agency has evolved and grown dramatically. The Agency is now a partnership between Russel Martorana, Don Backlund, Thomas Rogers, Gregory Arnold and Bristol County Savings Bank.

In 2008 Farrell Backlund Insurance expanded with the acquisition of Anderson Cushing Insurance Agency. The Agency now has five locations – Taunton, Rehoboth, Dighton, Middleboro, Freetown – and 59 employees. The Agency has over 25 national and regional insurance companies and a client base of over 25,000 personal and commercial clients.
