Russel has been in the insurance business for over 30 years and has served as CEO of FBinsure since 1998.   Russel graduated from Merrimack College in 1977 after which he pursued a career with Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He has achieved several industry designations including Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Workers Compensation Advisor (CWCA) and holds Insurance Brokers Licenses for MA, RI, CT, NH, VT, ME, NY, & NC.  In 2011 Russel was presented with the MAIA's Pacesetter Award.  This award is given annually to the Massachusetts Independent Insurance Agent who through hard work, perseverance, compassion and charity has set the pace at a level achieved by very few in the industry.

Russel has been an active participant in his community holding roles as a board member for the Rotary Club of Taunton, an active participant in the strategic planning and building needs committees for the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School Department, and a board member and chairman of the Town of Raynham Finance Committee.  His current community roles include participation on the Board of Directors for the Old Colony YMCA, the Taunton YMCA Committee of Management, and the Raynham Economic & Business Development Committee.  Russel’s industry involvement includes participation in the ARM Group, a member of the Bay States Agents, and most recently, a member of the Agent Advisory Committee for Arbella Insurance Company.

With 30 years in the insurance industry, Mark serves as Executive Vice President of FBinsure. Mark attained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Babson College. Mark began his insurance career as a Senior Account Analyst at Travelers Insurance Company. He joined Richardson-Cuddy Insurance Agency in 1985, where he served as President. Mark has achieved industry designations including Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and License Insurance Adviser (LIA). Through his career, Mark has taken a leadership role in many local organizations and committees in the Greater Attleboro Area. He is a past member and Chairman of the City of Attleboro Recreation Commission, Attleboro YMCA, and United Way of Greater Attleboro/Taunton, Inc.

He is currently a member of the board of directors of Justice Resource Institute (via a merger with Community Care Services, Inc.), a member of the Sturdy Memorial Foundation, Inc. and also serves as an incorporator for Bristol County Savings Bank. Mark’s industry involvements include membership in the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA), Bay State Independent Insurance Agents Association and Bristol/Norfolk Independent Insurance Agents Association, Inc.

He holds numerous specialized insurance and risk management designations.  Tom is active in the community and currently serves as Chair of the Old Colony YMCA, Middleboro Board of Governors as well as Annual Campaign Chair, Past President of the South Coast Independent Insurance Agents, and Treasurer of the Jared C. Monti Memorial Park Fund. Tom resides in Lakeville, MA with his wife and three children.

Greg joined FBinsure in the fall of 2004 following 10 years of financial management experience in both the consulting and non-profit arenas.  With a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bryant University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island, he oversees the daily financial operations and management of the agency.   Greg is active in the Southeastern Mass community; coaching youth sports and serving on the board of Rehoboth Youth Baseball & Softball Association. He also serves on the board of directors of East Bay Rowing. Greg resides in Rehoboth with his wife and two children.

Jared Perkoski works for FBinsure as a commercial lines Risk Advisor. He works with business owners to address their insurance and risk management needs. Not just providing cost effective insurance solutions but also working with clients to educate them on risks in their industry. He has his Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation which has helped him gain specialized expertise in construction insurance and risk management. He is also a Professional Work Comp Advisor (PWCA). Jared is also a member of the Accredited Snow Contractors Association as well as the Snow and Ice Management Association, allowing him expert insight into the difficulties snow contractors face.

Jared graduated from The University of New Hampshire in 2005, with a degree in Sociology. He was also a 5 year member of the football team while at UNH. As a lifelong resident of the Attleboro area, Jared went to North Attleboro High School. As an active member within the community, he serves on the Hockomock Area YMCA Board of Managers, the Hockomock Area YMCA Risk Committee, The Attleboro Rotary Board of Directors and The Sturdy Memorial Foundation.

Ed joined FBinsure in 2014 as the Director of Specialty Insurance with a focus on Cyber Liability. Ed has been in the insurance industry since 1973 starting with a focus in life and health with the old Aetna Life & Casualty and later with Paul Revere Companies in 1974, taking on a General Manager role with the Vermont and upstate New York territories. In 1980 he moved into the property and casualty side of the business. In 1981 he joined Scarborough & Company specializing in insuring banks for their operational coverages moving his way into a National Sales Manager/Vice President of Sales & Marketing position in 1985 based in Chicago commuting from Providence to Chicago and London weekly. In 1989 Ed purchased his own first bank wholesale property and casualty insurance brokerage; Associated Intermediaries Insurance Agency based in Quincy MA which he grew and then sold in 2000.

Ed has also invested time as a mono-line crime underwriter, for Great American Insurance Company. In 2004 he joined NIF Services as President of their mid-Atlantic based outside of Philadelphia. In 2006 Ed started his second wholesale insurance brokerage firm, SecureRisk Intermediaries Insurance specializing in cyber liability. Subsequent to that Ed became SVP of Sales & Marketing for S.H. Smith & Company in Hartford, CT. In 2012 he joined U.S. Risk Brokers as a Senior Broker based in Framingham, MA.

Ed lives in Franklin, MA with his wife of 31 years Karen who is a retired high school guidance counselor and school psychologist. Ed and Karen have a son Jason and also a daughter named Bethany and 5 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, visiting their children and grandchildren and spending time with friends. They also enjoy exploring new restaurants. Ed’s passion is Baseball. He has played on a local, national and international level for the past 22 years culminating in 9 national baseball championships. He holds a Silver Medal for baseball that he received in the 1998 Nike World Masters Games for the over-30 World Summer Olympics held every 4 years in different venues worldwide.

When not in the insurance realm, Joe, an avid musician, can be seen performing in a local band on most weekends throughout the Southeastern MA & RI area. He resides in Fall River with his wife Melissa of 8 years & 4 year old son Collin James. The 2 family dogs are Eddie and Gizmo.

Kerrie joined FBinsure in 2008 as part of the Anderson Cushing Insurance Agency merge and brings more than 21 years of experience in the insurance industry to our team.

After serving in the US Navy, Kerrie started her insurance career in 1997 working for a direct writer in California. Since then she moved back home to Massachusetts and has worked for a few local agencies before settling in at FBinsure. Kerrie is the Vice President of Employee Development. She enjoys working with employees to help enrich their insurance careers, assists with the daily operations, and overseeing the Personal Lines team at the agency. She holds several insurance designations Certified Insurance Service Representative (CSIR), Certified Professional in Personal Lines (CPPL), Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS).  Kerrie sits on the national Applied Client Network Board of Directors. Doreen's insurance journey began the day after she graduated from Old Rochester Regional High School.  From a file clerk for an agency in Mattapoisett she worked her way up to Office Manager at the age of 20, while also attended college at night to earn her associates degree.  She eventually moved to an agency in Brockton as an account manager and after a few years was promoted to Office Manager in their Quincy location where she remained for 10 years.  After taking some time away from the industry to start a family a raise two twin sons, she rejoined the insurance business with Farrell Backlund Insurance Agency in a part time position, processing endorsements and new business applications.  Her mother’s hours continued until her children entered to Middle School, when she was quickly offered a full position with FBinsure as Branch Manager of the Rehoboth office.  Recently, she was promoted to the Assistant Vice President of Personal Lines Operations. Having been in the insurance business for 38 years, she currently hold the AAI, CISR, CPPL, CPIA and CPIW designations.

Tim Leavitt started his insurance career back in 1999 in underwriting at Amica Insurance out of Wellesley MA. He has since gained insurance industry experience within 2 Boston MA based insurance agencies, and as of 2013 accepted a position as Vice President of Business Development at FBinsure in the Commercial Lines Department. Tim’s duties at FBinsure include, but are not limited to Large & Middle Market account & coverage analysis, marketing, and coverage placement.

Tim’s daily activities include performing as a liaison with our Commercial Lines carriers, establishing and maintaining relationships and solving any mutual problems. Tim works with our Middle & Large market producers providing assistance with their daily activities and growth. Finally, Tim collaborates with his two Commercial Lines Management counterparts running the department.

Tim is a resident of Wrentham, MA with his wife Nicole (who is also currently in the insurance industry), and his twin boys, Colin & Jack. Tim holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing from Fitchburg State University and numerous insurance industry designations. Tim’s hobbies and interests include football, downhill skiing, as well as woodworking projects.

Tracy started her insurance journey in 1984 at the R. E. Backlund Ins. Agency.  She remained employed with the Backlund Agency through Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School and while attending Bristol Community College. In 1988 she joined the Richardson- Cuddy Insurance Agency Inc. in the commercial lines dept. and remained until the merger with FBinsure in 2011.

Tracy oversees the operations of the Commercial Lines Dept. with a focus on large commercial accounts.  She has achieved several industry designations including Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW), Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Workers Compensation Specialist (CWCS). She is an active member of the Bristol Chapter of the Massachusetts Insurance Woman organization, a Registered Yoga Trainer and an Advanced Open Water Diver.

She is the proud mother of two grown children, a son Kyle and daughter Kayla who both reside in Dartmouth. Tracy also resides in Dartmouth with her husband Mark of almost 30 years

After graduating from Diman Regional Voc Tech in 1994 Suzette immediately found her niche in the insurance industry in 1996. Some years later, she proudly joined the FBinsure team as Small Business Vice President in 2015. Her responsibilities are to oversee the Small Business Department which includes daily operations, building and maintaining carrier relationships, continually staying abreast of industry changes, as well as marketing, negotiating and placement of new and existing small business opportunities. Suzette's focus is to see that FBinsure's small businesses’ client needs and expectations are met throughout.

She is a resident of Fall River, MA along with her fiancé and blended family with 5 wonderful children. She humbly served as a volunteer for Cure For Kids Car Show for several successful years.

The MAIA’s (Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents) Five Star Agency Designation program is intended to analyze the background of insurance agencies and continually challenge those agencies to improve relations with clients, company partners, and employees in order to operate in a more effective manner. The program offers guidance by identifying both strengths and areas of improvement while offering ways for management to address these issues and remedy them. By setting external standards and reviewing an agency’s operations, management truly can strive to provide service of the highest quality.

In order to obtain such a designation, FBinsure underwent a thorough internal review by an outside team who conducted personal employee interviews in which strengths and areas of improvement were recorded. In meeting the strict criteria and by achieving a high score, our agency is proud to have been awarded the Five Star Designation and will undergo this review process every three years.

The future of Five Star is very promising, as the program is planning to expand to the national level. We are very pleased to have earned this designation. Even more importantly, we are thrilled that this process has pulled our staff and management even closer together so that we can serve our customers with the greatest efficiency and quality possible.
